maven clean install is succeful, but VSCode shows lot of missing artifacts

I have Java project with maven as build tool. My application builds properly with the maven commands, but VSCode shows lot of errors "Missing artifact"

@srinivasbollina are you building directly from the maven tab or is the build using the java plugin?

Some of my team have the same issue. The project structure is:

root
 |
 +-shared library
 |
 +-app1
 |
 +-app2

Where the shared library includes code shared by several apps and is build either from Maven > Lifecycle > install or from terminal using mvn clean install.

The shared-1.0.jar is successfully generated, can be found from userhome/.m2/... But in the app1 and app2 projects, when opened to their own VS Code windows, report that the artifact cannot be found error associated with the pom.xml files.

However, at least usually, the app1 can be launched from the main method. So the library jar is available and can be used.

Sometimes this does not work, but executing Java projects > ... > Clean workspace may fix the issue.
