MSSQL is missing edit data option like Azure Data Studio

Is it possible to add edit data in the MSSQL Plugin for VSCode. This is an feature I really miss as an replacement for Azure Data Studio.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Go to your database
2. Select a table and click right mouse
3. Then you should see: Edit data (like Azure Data Studio)

I hope this option can be offered because for an quick edit this is really a nice way to do something instead of an update query.

If I understand correctly, this has been rejected as out-of-scope, which is baffling. See linked issues here: #605
Microsoft needs to reevaluate this, you can't replace Azure Data Studio with VS Code without this functionality.

Thought I would make the move today but with no edit functionality it seems pretty pointless.

Without an Edit Data option moving from Azure Data Studio to VS Code is for me not an option. I'd rather go back to SSMS or move to VS2022

Thanks for opening this issue. This feature is under development, with various improvements, in what we're calling Table Explorer. The team focus is on stabilizing the existing preview features, and then this will be in the next wave of features in a few months, and will be stable in the GA extension well before the ADS retirement.

Can I make a suggestion since you are working on this now?
I really dislike how ADS automatically executes this as soon as you click on "Edit Top 200". The reason why I dislike the automatic execution is that 99% of the time, I don't want the data that is returned. I want to edit the query before it is sent. I often want to edit a single record and I know how to find that single record. Having to wait for the top 200 records to come back, the code to build up all the structures needed for editing the data etc is just a waste of my time, my database's cpu resources and my local machine's resources.

For that 1% of the time that the first 200 entries of the table contain the elements I want to edit, it quite simple to hit the button to run the query. But for the 99% of the times that I don't want that data, it is just wasteful. This is something that frustrates me about ADS every single time I use it.

Same here, always waiting ages just to click 'Show SQL Pane' to limit down to 1-3 rows actually to be edited.
Maybe just default to Top 10 rows.

You just can not retire ADS without this! Hopefully it will roll-out soon!
