Feature Request:
In Azure Data Studio, when you split two query tabs, their corresponding result sets are automatically displayed side by side, allowing for easy comparison and a seamless user experience.
In VSCode, the setting Mssql: Open Query Results In Tab By Default partly achieves this. However, it's not as smooth or intuitive as Azure Data Studio. Currently, when executing a query, the results open in a separate new tab, causing the user to lose the direct visual association between queries and results.
Preferred behavior:
Query results should automatically display side-by-side when query tabs are split.
The result tabs should maintain a clear and intuitive link to their respective queries, similar to Azure Data Studio.
