feature: Add filename templating to trx logger

the TRX logger sorely needs this feature , particularly in my case as we have a large test solution that we are migrating to git hub , we would like to use the trx logger but we need better support for filename generation , I have a PR ready to fix the issue

Hello, at the moment we don't take any new features into vstest, we are focusing on Microsoft.testing.platform.

This however is a feature I'd like and there is similar proposal on microsoft.testing.platform, and a draft PR generated via copilot, but I did not get anywhere further.

If you like to take that on and implement it that would be very useful. microsoft/testfx#6586

Your PR seems to be empty, and coming from your main. Typically you'd make a branch for the PR commit your code there and make PR from it, so we have time to review it, without blocking your main branch from getting any changes. If you need more assistance with PR creation let me know.

my interest in this isnt really directly related to vstest itself its the trx logger package as we currently use it to generate our test reports in dotnet test for use with the dorny/report-generator action in github , is the version of this thats included in dotnet cli moving to the Microsoft.testing.platform main reason i opened this was google gemini pointed me here as the source repo for the trx logger

Source for vstest trx reporter is in vstest. Microsoft testing platform, including its implementation of trx reporter is in testfx. Where also the proposal for artifact naming service is.
