Attempting to run with Docker Compose yields permission Denied

I'm trying to run the indexer with docker compose, but am unable to pull the services from the docker repository?

Is this intentional?

If so, how can I get permission to pull?

I'm trying to run the indexer to begin designing and building Dapps.

I do not think this is an issue with pulling the images. Have you tried to pull them manually, e.g. docker pull midnightntwrk/chain-indexer:3.0.0-alpha.19?

I think that's part of the issue though.

In the current docker compose file, this is how the image is being pulled:

image: "ghcr.io/midnight-ntwrk/chain-indexer:${INDEXER_TAG:-latest}"

I had to modify the docker-compose.yaml file to pull like this.

image: "midnightntwrk/wallet-indexer:${INDEXER_TAG:-latest}"

I had to make similar changes for the wallet-indexer and the indexer-api.

New devs are going to run in to issues with pulling from ghcr.io.

I also ran in to the issue after doing the github login steps described in the Readme.

Did I modify the docker file correctly?

Since then, after my modifications, I managed to get the chain indexer running and connected to a node connected to testnet-02, but the chain-indexer then fails after indexing from the highest block to the genesis block.

It can't seem to find the genesis block, then crashes.

I also needed to make two new environment variables to get the chain indexer running

APP__INFRA__ZSWAP_STATE_STORAGE__PASSWORD
and
APP__INFRA__ZSWAP_STATE_STORAGE__URL

Forgive me if I don't understand everything, I was heavily assisted by ChatGPT when trying to get the chain-indexer to run

@MatthewTristan, good catch! Would you be able to create a PR against the docker-compose file?

Yet ZSWAP_STATE_STORAGE is very outdated. Please take a look at the config: https://github.com/midnightntwrk/midnight-indexer/blob/main/chain-indexer/config.yaml#L25. The names have changed.

Also, please do no longer use testnet-02 which is quite old. Give preview a try which should be compatible with the latest Indexer/Node/etc. versions: https://indexer.preview.midnight.network/api/v3/graphql.

Yes I can, currently working on this, but I have to get it cleaned up.

I have it configured to run a midnight node instance from the midnight-node-docker repository
