Toolbar hack

Is seems you're using the toolbar hack to perform the blur, right ?

An app using it may be rejected by the App Store so?

I've released a few apps with it. It didn't get rejected for me.

Oh ok. This is good news because i've read in several posts Apple rejected apps using this hack.
(but we know they even don't review the code sometimes...)

actually what we're doing is an ugly hack but not a private API. How would apple differentiate between putting a tool bar in the middle of the app, or embedded as a subview. I have yet to see a credible source that said his app got rejected. I certainly haven't. Maybe I'm lucky.. I would love to be proven wrong.

in any case, this hack will be not necessary once iOS8 is out, they're adding a UIVisualEffectView which will do this. and btw iOS8 is awesome... really awesome for developers.
