Does gallery-dl download Devianart images at original quality?

I have seen some links about Deviantart compressing or changing the resolution of images, giving lower resolution preview images and some kind of encryption... basically hiding the original image.

I want to be sure if I'm downloading the original image and if this tool does that by default or if I have to do some configurations.

It downloads them in original quality when possible and replaces the q_... parameter of images without a download link with q_100.
