timeout wait for spawn request

set a timeout to request again teleport to spawn point .. due players ar ein battle and scaped by using this command.. so i trie dto make it.. but do not know how to count down to the free time to request again the spawn request

Sorry for late reply, But if you are still interested in this
A simple fix will be to have a global table say cooldown = {} and every time someone executes /spawn put their name in it.
Now when some one executes check if they are in cooldown, if yes -> send messages to them to wait or else teleport them and put them in cooldown list.
Now declare one extra function, i.e. minetest.after for executing a cleanup of cooldown list, lets say i set it up for 1 min so when function runs it will remove the name from cooldown.

umm tht change demand more knowledge of tables and arrays in lua.. puff.. there's no any interest in implementing?
