Question: Unified Inventory does not open when typing "I" in Lunati 5.14.0 / VoxeLibre

I am using Luanti version 5.14.0 with VoxeLibre (formerly mineclone2) game installed.

After installing the Unified Inventory mod I enabled it - but unfortunately when typing "I" command for inventory still the default VoxeLibre inventory dialog opens. Other inventory mods seems to be working - they replace the standard inventory.

So my question is: Is there anything which has to be done after enabling the mod? Is the default inventory command the correct one to open Unified Inventory?

I'm afraid they are yet not compatible. You could get unified_inventory to show up with some hacks, but as you can see in https://git.minetest.land/VoxeLibre/VoxeLibre/src/branch/master/mods/HUD/mcl_inventory/init.lua#L88-L103 , the inventory is updated later on in multiple places. Unlike in Minetest Game's sfinv mod, there is no option to disable mcl_inventory. A low-hanging fruit would be to overwrite set_inventory in VoxelLibre, but that's not possible because it's a local function, thus not accessible by unified_inventory.
Please open a request on the VoxeLibre issue tracker.

EDIT: Also the armor slots and whatever else that's needed for a proper VoxeLibre inventory is not yet available.

Thanks for the quick reply. Does that mean that Unified Inventory is not made for VoxeLibre but for another Game within this Luanti Framework?

Unfortunately I don't know what to write in a feature request in VoxeLibre - so I guess I'll just use a compatible inventory mod until Unified Inventory is also supported.

@DerTomm Unified Inventory was written for Minetest Game or alike games. It does however not hard-depend on any mod, thus it can be used in other games too, such as devtest (contained in the Luanti repository for - well - development tests).
The game principle of MineClone2/MineClonia/VoxeLibre are different to Minetest Game, thus this mod would need feature changes to make it compatible with more games. You are free to propose them, if you'd like to.

If you do nothing, the chances for something to happen are very low. You should go to its issue tracker and request a feature like "Add an option to disable the inventory mod by API". So to say, a variable in the mcl_inventory table that basically disables all its functionalities such that other mods can take its place.
