HN has implemented full shadowbanning where it no longer just defaults to [dead], but instead is fully concealed from the user and other users as well.

Examination of available data suggests this was implemented between 4th of February and 11th of February, and immediately applied to a pre-existing list of undesirable opinion holders. I had questioned dang on his moderation, and obtained a polite bullshit response, and this shadowbanning is the true response, months later.

This is hilarious because I pointed out that dang's moderation goes directly against the quote from his bio. Insta ban.
Dang is a stereotypical reddit mod and that's the reason why HN never took off.
