+An update to the extension close to 2 years ago enabled animations by default for all wikis ([T12350](https://meta.miraheze.org/wiki/phorge:T12350)). The animation is slow and results in prolonged waiting for content to show up. An example of the scrolling animation can be seen on [Public Test Wiki](https://publictestwiki.com/wiki/User:PetraMagna/TabberNeue). In comparison, on [a page with scrolling disabled](https://strinova.org/wiki/User:PetraMagna/TabberNeue), the user experience is much smoother.

+I am in favor of applying this change only to new wikis. Old wikis should keep the old setting because it is a breaking change and could mess up their CSS (`h3` becomes `div`). If we want to apply a breaking HTML change, we should do so when we upgrade MediaWiki when users are expecting breaking changes.
