How do I access JWT token?

I used github's oauth and I'm trying to wrap my head around how to get JWT token in order to authenticate with the APIs.

I found that 2 ways to get

const session = await sessionStorage.getSession(
    request.headers.get("Cookie")
  );
  const token = request.headers.get('Cookie')

session and session cookie from headers, but it doesn't seem to do the job for me. I know that there has to be a way to do it, but I think I'm missing something simple here...
