the manual system that is RTD flavour Sphynx provides permalinks for manual pages using 'latest'
i.e.
https://manual.mixxx.org/latest/mixxx-control
https://manual.mixxx.org/latest/chapters/appendix/mixxx_controls
etc
and, as that is resolved to the version number, one can't just get a permalink for the always newest version/release on the page
which kinda goes against Cool URIs don't change, but could both addresses be valid for the same, i.e. latest doesn't change?
edit: no,cos it was made one way for a reason and changing this would go against that reason
can supplying the static (as far as static goes) url above be done on the manual page? as a link to copy (in the bottom left)
