load folder to library / playlist / crate by drag-and-drop on sidebar or table view

hi, technically a wish request, but something that should be taken care off. suppose this: i select dir 'x' as the dir for my music. there is no way after that than going to preferences and selecting a different dir if i want to play songs in another folder, either that or import each song separately if its in another location, or create a play list with the songs in the new location and then import playlist. there is no easy way, or rather ´obvious´ way to simple select a dir and tell it to play songs in that dir. i somehow believe some of the people in mixx are ´winamp´ fans, it would be nice to have the options winamp does, with the possibility of mixing songs. tnx

I think a lot of this wishlist bug is covered now in Mixxx. It is possible to drag'n'drop several tracks at once into autoDj or select it from the browse view. In my branch it is now also possible to select several library folder and it's even possible to move them to another location.

As for drop'n'drop entire folders into Mixxx I don't think we can to that right now. For this to work nicely it would be necessary to recursively scan that folder add the songs into our database. This actually takes some time depending on number of tracks in that folder and mixxx would appear frozen for time. When we moved all library transactions into a separate it could be possible

Since the multiple-library folder aspect of this bug is solved by Bug #6307, I'm renaming this to just cover drag-and-dropping folders.

Not quite.
IIUC the request is to drag folders onto sidebar items to add them.
Like drag onto playlist to queue conatined tracks, drag onto Tracks or Analyze to add them to the library.

Actually, we may treat drag onto Tracks/Analyze as "add this directory to the library directories" if it's not a child of any of those.
(which is already provided by the sidebar menu for Computer folders)
