+Mixxx is a non-profit project run by volunteers. The most valuable way to support Mixxx is to contribute to it yourself. We’ve consistently been short on volunteers who take on areas beyond code contributions. +The [Mixxx e.V.](https://mixxx.org/ev/) runs this website and is the publisher of the Mixxx DJ Software.
+
+Mixxx e.V. is a registered association according to German law. Mixxx e.V. is recognized by the German authorities as a **non-profit organization**, and therefore donations to Mixxx e.V. are **tax-deductible** in 🇩🇪 Germany.
+In all other states of the European Economic Area (EEA) (🇪🇺 EU member states, 🇮🇸 Iceland, 🇱🇮 Liechtenstein and 🇳🇴 Norway), Mixxx e.V. is treated on an equal footing with national non‑profit organizations. Please check with your local tax authority to see whether this allows for tax deduction.
