Can this repo do/read/write the new SOGs format for 3DGS?

For example, in this PlayCanvas Demo, this PLY was 1GB apparenlty and they got it down to 55mb with the use of SOG (Self Organizing Gaussian)

So can I compress my own PLY files with mkellogg and also then read it with the mkellogg viewer?
