Description

  • piece-wise vs. piecewise -> piecewise
  • all-cause not 'all cause'
  • e.g., -> for example
  • Don't use 'c.f., i.e., etc.' or other abbreviations
  • american vs. British English -> AE
  • use of "", '', etc. -> Double quotes with single inside when need ("foo 'x' bar" not 'foo "x" bar')
  • use of italics -> New terminology not for emphasis
  • follow-up vs. follow up -> "follow-up time" "time to follow up"
  • survival function vs. survivor function -> "survival function"
  • hazard rate vs. hazard function -> "hazard function"
  • math in figure and table captions -> Ensure math mode used in captions
  • colloquial use of "significant" -> don't use it
  • \log vs. log, \exp vs. exp, etc. (also mention somewhere that \log means \ln) -> always use "\log" etc.
  • capitalisation of section headers
