Enrich historic NFI dataset with country designation

It would be great to enrich the NFI datasets 2012 - 2021 with Country designation, potentially using spatial joins to mimic the 2022 dataset structure, enabling grouping and more versatile comparison. There are regional datasets available on the Forestry Commission Open Data portal, which can be used to achieved this result when filtering by country as opposed to GB as a whole.
That approach, however, lacks Wales 2012-2015, England for 2018, Scotland 2014. The fact that both Wales and Scotland don't have 2014 data means that it's impossible to generally infer the missing country by subtracting from the GB dataset. Requesting NFI to publish granular data could be a viable approach.
