🛠️ Repo: Some `--watch` tests fail sporadically

Overview

"reruns test when file and directory paths under --watch-files are added" is the main offender, but others crop up too. Something is off with our recent fix, unfortunately. The named test above just failed on my local machine (Windows, Node 20.19.0, PR branch off main without relevant changes, npm run test-node:integration without additional options) so we should be able to repro a bit better than before.

I do think we're better now than we were before, no desire to revert the recent "fix".

Ugh, that named test is failing pretty often on my machine (same config mentioned in description). This will be priority number 1 after the v12 release
