Currently, the only entry point for recording and manipulating network traffic within the FMI-LS-BUS is the Bus Simulation (FMU). However, this implicitly means that the user must have the ability to access the Bus Simulation (FMU) in case of connecting such a tool. This issue describes how to develop a corresponding concept, which shows whether and how a connection of monitoring tools in connection with the FMI-LS-BUS can look like and does not require an extension/support of the Bus Simulation (FMU).
Especially with the focus on Ethernet, a possible solution is interesting.
