Creates a blank document

Sometimes when I create a document from Para Compare Tool it creates a blank word document. The document is not size zero, but nothing appears in it. It opens fine with WordPad and if I save it from WordPad, it will open up fine in Word. Does anyone know what the issue is?

Over the years I used several versions of Word and am now on Word 2016. That the Word document was blank never happened to me and as far as I know also not to anybody else. The comparison output is in rich text format and I tried to keep it short and when it is saved with another application there is some conversion going on. For example, the original RTF file has 12.3 kB, saved with WordPad 22.1 kB, and with Word 104 kB.
It could be that there are some special characters in there which cause problems.
Can you send me an original export which causes the problem, so that I can have a look at it?
Did you try to open the file with another Word installation or version?
