The ability to archive versions

I have a suggestion that when you have an old file for a mod, modpack, plugin, etc. that you could archive a version basically stopping users from downloading it but maybe just the admins could, and it would just be for preview. This could maybe be automated overtime so for example if a creator has a version for their mod that was made for 1.8 and doesn't get many downloads at all now your system could automatically archive it. There could be an option in the settings so if they do not want it then they can keep all the files unarchived.
