Are there two revisions of the Shbobo Shnth?

I recently acquired both a new Shnth and a used one. The new one has an audio jack on both the top and bottom, but the used one has an audio jack only on the top - next to the USB socket.

Are there two versions of the Shnth? The main reason I ask is that the used one seems to be unable to run the shbobo/examp/shnth/newSHNTH/neilYOUNG.txt patch as described in the Perfect Circle article https://www.perfectcircuit.com/signal/ciat-lonbarde-shbobo-shnth, but the new one runs it fine. I've been able to get simpler example patches to run in both, so I'm wondering if there is a microcontroller hardware difference, for example, flash or RAM size.

Are there two different Shnth models? If so, is there some reason why the older model would not be able to run neilYOUNG.txt?

I'm everything else than an expert but yes – there are at least two revisions. I'm owning the older one without audio-input. Unfortunately i can't say if there are more differences between the two. So far i never had trouble with files from the community.

i love my shnth but unfortunately i only have the second revision with the audio input,
what we can do is chech the timeline of it, and add instructions to my notes
about those dates and which firmware to use, what do you think?

Sounds good to me. I have found quite a few YouTube videos from 2013-2014 featuring the Shnth. One of them is a workshop in the UK with Peter Blasser where they built Shnths https://youtu.be/-UrteFb3R9M?feature=shared! They all look like the used one I have - yellow buttons on the bottom row and white buttons on the top row.

The other clue I have is the folder name of the patch that doesn't work on the used Shnth - examp/shnth/newSHNTH. Whoever made that folder might have wanted to show off the added capacity of a better micro-controller.

There might be something in the shlisp source code that calls out micro-controller versions - I can check that.
