It'd be possibly needed to authenticate user somehow, but not only with OPAC login, but also "Institutional Login" which is using Shibboleth WAYF as Discovery Service.
It should be capable of providing these services to authenticated user:
Fetching his reserves from all his institutions at once.
Fetching account informations from all his institutions at once.
Doing a prolongation request on loaned item.
Placing reservations on items.
Provide access to solr somehow to have autocomplete .
