This feature would involve changes in Firefox itself so it isn't something that can be implemented directly in Multi-Account Containers until then. However, Firefox recently implemented a new Profiles feature that looks very similar to Chrome Profiles. You can learn more about this feature on https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-management. Hope it helps :) |

I have a use case where I am using an add-on for work that I want to use with a different account for home. I am looking for a way to use LastPass add-on with different LastPass accounts.
In Google Chrome, I can do this by having different chrome profiles assigned to different Google accounts. I can easily open the other profile by selecting it from within the Chrome menus. When I select the profile in Chrome, the profile opens in a new browser window. I am attempting to move away from Chrome though.
I think I can accomplish what I want to do from my OS by using the -P command line parameter with a Firefox profile name after it. It would be nice to know if the multi-account-containers add-on can help me make my use case more convenient, or if there is another feature in Firefox that I have missed making it convenient to change Firefox profiles.
I also read that a change to managing different Firefox profiles was occurring earlier this year (2025). I am currently on Firefox 143.0.4. Perhaps the feature I am looking for is coming soon, and I have to wait for it.
