If a user is signed into their Firefox account, use those credentials rather than asking them to sign in again.

I vote for this idea as well. I was logged in on Firefox Preview, but had to login again on Firefox Send. It would be great if Firefox Send can read the existing login on the Firefox browser.

This is an excellent idea and we should definitely try to smooth out this login flow over time. However, there are some technical reasons why it's not as easy as it might appear.

When you sign in to Firefox Send with your Firefox Account, the login process transparently generates some encryption keys that are used by the Send front-end to encrypt the account-related data stored in the Send service. Generating those keys requires the presence of the account password, so even if you're already signed in to Firefox and the site knows who you are, you still need to enter your password again in order to unlock those encryption keys.

I have some ideas for how we could get those keys from the browser instead, but it requires a lot of careful planning and work in both the browser and on accounts.firefox.com. Hopefully we can iterate towards this over time!
