Matter Support

Homebridge Easy MQTT v2.0.0 adds preliminary support for Matter. See the important notes here: https://github.com/mpatfield/homebridge-easy-mqtt/wiki/Matter-Support

The accessory types that currently support Matter are Lightbulb, Outlet, and Switch. I can support other types, but it's labor-intensive. Please consider whether the currently supported accessory types can support your use case. If not, leave a comment below.

I got an zigbee2mqtt bridge with mosquitto as Matt broker. I really would love to have matter support so I can hand device to apple home and google home, cause I switch devices a lot ! :)

@psdl76 no promises 😄 but what device types would be top of your list? I may try to throw together a prototype if I get some time in the next week or so.

I got you my state.json from zigbee2mqtt. That shoul dhave all information needed. It is a pitty that matter is so troublesome to integrate. But an integration would be great ! :)

@psdl76 I’m not sure exactly what the state.json is for, but if I’m understanding right it seems like switches and lightbulbs would be a good place to start?

Mostly Bosch Smarthome Thermostat / Smoke Detector / Door - Window Sensors; Ikea motions sensor / power outlets / light bulbs; Philips Hue Lightbulbs

@psdl76 can you share your Easy MQTT config so I can decide what types to prioritize?

As I mentioned, it is a lot of work to implement each of these, so I'd love to know which accessory types would be most useful to you in order of priority.
