You can run shader and resize output to any size you want. You get video surface on input, and you can extend with blur however you like. You don't need "empty space" on input, only on output. |

Hi,
I have written a blur-edges shader for filling the screen empty space while keeping hwdec and gpu-next, but it seems there is no way to expose the black bars area to the shader.
Is there a way to do this?
I think both options are plausible, either exposing the presented surface to a new final shader stage or being able to increase the video surface area (maybe this needs support in libplacebo).
With this feature, an automatic script for cropping black bars and blurring the edges at fullscreen should be possible while keeping all the gpu-next features like HDR.
