ABTalks — Developer Momentum Platform
Target Duration: 2 to 3 Minutes

🎬 Demonstration Flow Overview

This script outlines the optimal 3-minute video/live demonstration flow for hackathon evaluation.

⏱️ Step-by-Step Demo Script

0:00 – 0:20 | Step 1: The Landing Page (/)

  • Visual: Show the home page on a 390px mobile container.
  • Script:
    "Welcome to the redesign of ABTalks. Traditional coding challenges focus only on counting consecutive days. We redesigned ABTalks into a Developer Momentum Platform that turns 60 daily coding tasks into verifiable public proof of work, skill progress, and career momentum."
  • Key Action: Scroll past the hero banner and 4-step workflow, then click Start 60-Day Challenge.

0:20 – 1:00 | Step 2: The Student Dashboard (/dashboard)

  • Visual: Show /dashboard. Point out Today's Mission (Day 12) and Build Intelligence & Next Best Action.
  • Script:
    "On the student dashboard, the interface immediately answers two core questions: 'What should I do today, and how am I progressing?' Here is Today's Mission — Day 12. Above it, our Build Intelligence Engine analyzes student state in real time, showing an 82% Readiness Score and directing us to complete Stage 03 of our build plan."
  • Key Action: Expand the "Why this recommendation?" drawer to highlight explainable logic, then scroll to view the Developer Skill Growth System (+12% gains across 5 engineering domains) and Portfolio Momentum Showcase.

1:00 – 2:00 | Step 3: Challenge Workspace & The Primary "WOW" Moment (/day/12)

  • Visual: Navigate to /day/12. Show the task specs, 5-Stage Build Execution Plan, Definition of Done, and proof modals.
  • Script:
    "Entering Day 12, students don't just see a submit button — they get a structured 5-Stage Build Execution Plan (Understand → Plan → Build → Verify → Publish). Watch what happens when we check off our build tasks, open the GitHub proof modal, and add our verified repository link."
  • Key Action:
    1. Toggle build plan checkboxes.
    2. Click Add GitHub Link → Enter URL → Save.
    3. Click Add LinkedIn Post → Enter URL → Save.
    4. Point out the Submission Readiness Gatekeeper switching to READY TO COMPLETE.
    5. Click Mark Day Complete.

🏆 THE PRIMARY "WOW" MOMENT (2:00 – 2:20)

  • Visual: The celebratory completion overlay modal pops up (🎉 Day 12 complete!). Click Continue to Day 13, returning to /dashboard.
  • Script:
    "Here is the connected product moment! Marking Day 12 complete instantly updates the streak to 🔥 13 Days, increments our skill progress (+4%), adds a 13th repository to our portfolio, and updates our Next Best Action engine. Everything downstream updates deterministically."

2:20 – 2:45 | Step 4: Edge Cases & Non-Punitive Recovery Mode

  • Visual: Click the Judge Presets drawer in the header and switch to Missed Yesterday / Recovery Mode.
  • Script:
    "Now let's test a real-world edge case using our built-in Judge Preset switcher. When a student misses a day, instead of destroying their motivation with a punitive red zero, ABTalks activates Recovery Mode: 'Your streak changed. Your journey didn't.' It provides a clear 3-step Catch-Up quest to restore momentum."

2:45 – 3:00 | Step 5: Conclusion & Product Value

  • Visual: Return to /dashboard main view.
  • Script:
    "ABTalks turns daily practice into verified career capital. All required routes (/, /dashboard, /day/12) are mobile-first, zero-dependency, and 100% submission ready. Thank you!"
