Package name
FOX Toolkit 1.7.90
Brief description of package
It is the latest in-development version of FOX Toolkit 1.7.x series.
The FOX Toolkit's vocabulary is strange:
- DEVELOPMENT == currently maintained
- STABLE = legacy
So don't fear that FOX Toolkit 1.7.90 is DEVELOPMENT, not STABLE!
This particular release of FOX Toolkit 1.7.x series is important because:
- Starting with version 1.7.90, FOX no longer uses Windows Registry; instead, it writes its files in user-friendly .ini format, under normally hidden APPDATA directory; this makes copying configurations between Windows and Linux much easier, and also allows hand-editing some configurations.
My own notes:
- Even if I regenerate the configure script using MSYS2's
autoconf -v -f -i, it stills fail to build on Clang-based environments due to lld not supporting linker script.
