Cannot install to new Raspberry Pi W with Bookworm

I tried running curl https://get.pimoroni.com/inky | bash and it crashes so I installed python3-pandas manually, which allowed the inky script to get to the "Installing Inky pHAT & wHAT library for Python 3" but I now get an error: externally-managed-environment

I had issues as well DietPi(which is based on debian) , try installing version 1.5 and follow these instructions https://github.com/mt-empty/pi-inky-weather-epd?tab=readme-ov-file#special-instructions-for-dietpi.
