[discussion] Support individual npm package install?

Summary

This is about wether we should allow developers to install components individually on npm or not:

• @base-ui-components/react-slider
• @base-ui-components/react-dialog
• etc.

Motivation

I'm not suggesting that we should do it, I'm only trying to create a place where we can discuss this with the community, and give them our stance on the problem. For example: https://youtu.be/lIUp8bdKiq4?si=SY5s4xthHufJsrHJ&t=1490 from @t3dotgg.

To mind that Shadcn UI is moving in the opposite direction: shadcn-ui/ui#6428

We discussed this in detail before deciding on the monopackage, and I don't think the community will be asking for this

1. It's largely annoying to have to install multiple packages when you realize you need another component
2. Treeshaking and sub-path imports eliminate issues associated with monopackages

As a consumer of Base UI, please don't do this.

I used Angular Material for over 4 years without an issue. I started using Radix 4 months ago and have already been hit with bugs due to mismatched packages.
