Summary of Changes
Hello @BakerNet, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!
This pull request performs routine version updates across the repository following the v1.3.2 release. It ensures that the project's dependencies on its own GitHub Action are current and prepares the CLI tool for its next development cycle by incrementing its version string.
Highlights
- GitHub Action Version Update: The
README.mdfile has been updated to reference themultimediallc/codeowners-plusGitHub Action at versionv1.3.2, aligning with the recent release. - CLI Tool Development Version Increment: The
tools/cli/main.gofile now reflects the next development version for the CLI tool, incrementing it fromv1.3.2.devtov1.3.3.dev.

Code Review
This pull request updates the version numbers following the v1.3.2 release. The changes correctly update the example usage in the README to point to the new release and bump the development version for the CLI tool. I've added one suggestion to improve the maintainability of the versioning for the CLI tool by using build-time variable injection instead of hardcoding the version string.

Hardcoding the version string directly in the code can make the release process manual and error-prone.
A common practice in Go projects is to inject the version at build time using ldflags. This automates the versioning and makes it more robust.
You could consider the following approach:
- Declare a package-level variable for the version:
var version = "dev" // Default for local builds
- Use this variable in your
cli.Appstruct:app := &cli.App{ // ... Version: version, // ... }
- Set the version during your release build process:
go build -ldflags="-X 'main.version=v1.3.3.dev'" ./...
This change would improve the maintainability and automation of your release workflow.
