Hi everyone,
I’m having an issue after a mistake I made with the ML4W Dotfiles Installer and I’m a bit stuck now.
From the Dotfiles Installer UI , I was trying to update the active configuration, but for some reason during updates the dotfiles were being downloaded without actually being applied.
Thinking something was wrong, I accidentally removed the active dotfiles configuration from the installer.
Immediately after that, my system broke.
Current situation
OS: Arch Linux
WM: Hyprland
Login manager: SDDM
After reboot, the graphical session no longer starts
Mouse moves, but no usable GUI
The only thing I can do is access a TTY with Ctrl + Alt + F3
From TTY, the system itself works, but Hyprland / GUI never starts
What I believe happened
I think I removed the active ML4W dotfiles while they were in use, so now:
Hyprland has no valid configuration
SDDM can’t start a proper Wayland session
I’m effectively locked out of the graphical environment
What I’m trying to do
From the TTY shell, I would like to:
Re-activate the ML4W Rolling Release dotfiles
Or otherwise restore a working Hyprland configuration
So that on the next reboot the graphical interface starts normally again
My question
Is there a way to activate the ML4W Rolling Release configuration from the shell (TTY)?
Or what is the correct recovery procedure after accidentally deleting the active dotfiles?
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
