workspace popup can disappear #308

not sure what/when introduced the bug. i am on Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS with gnome now (bug appeared after I updated a bunch of stuff). The WS popup works initially, however, after a while the ws popup will break and not appear anymore.
It seems like the way to reproduce this bug is to move workspace, which shows the popup. Stop moving, and then the popup will fade, and the start moving workspace again during the fade time. This seems to "crash" the popup. The popup can be reset by adjusting the "time to show the popup" parameter, clicking it back and forth resolves the issues until it crashes again.
