N42 Public Chain DAO Interface Technical Documentation

1. Overview

The N42 public chain provides a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) solution, supporting DAO creation, governance voting, proposal management, treasury management, role authorization, on-chain governance, and cross-chain governance to ensure fairness, transparency, and verifiability in community governance.

N42 DAO leverages smart contracts, zero-knowledge proofs (ZKP), decentralized storage, on-chain governance, and economic incentive mechanisms to ensure efficient operations, security, and self-evolution of DAO organizations.

This technical document details the core architecture, API design, security mechanisms, and best practices of N42 DAO, catering to DAO creators, governance participants, developers, and Web3 ecosystem applications.


2. Core Architecture

The N42 DAO system consists of the following key modules:

  • Core Governance: Supports multiple governance models (Token-based Voting / Reputation-based Voting / Hybrid Voting) to enable decentralized decision-making.
  • On-Chain Proposal Management: Any member can submit proposals, and governance members vote to determine execution.
  • Treasury Management: Smart contract-managed funds ensure transparency, fairness, and traceability.
  • Role & Permission Management: Supports DAO administrators, regular members, and specific functional roles to control access permissions.
  • Automated Smart Contract Execution: Enables automatic execution of fund allocations, parameter changes, and governance rule updates upon proposal approval.
  • Decentralized Arbitration: Provides on-chain voting and smart contract-based arbitration for governance disputes.

5. Security Design

5.1 Governance Security

  • Smart Contract Execution of Proposals: Approved proposals are executed automatically to prevent manual interference.
  • Time-Lock Mechanism: Implements a time delay before executing critical governance decisions to prevent malicious actions.
  • zk-SNARKs-Based Voting Privacy: Ensures anonymous voting to prevent vote manipulation.
