Maybe it's a transitive dependency, because on shadcn_ui I haven't done any change that could mean 1MB of change

Knowing from which version you upgraded from could help, but I suggest you comparing the pubspec.lock to see all the changed dependencies

It could be the addition of the GeistMono font which is needed by some components.
Unfortunately I have tried the variant font offered by Geist, but Flutter doesn't render them the same as using independent files for each font weight. So It's an addition needed to correctly render fonts.

Hi, then I would remove shadcn, it's non-trivial to mobile development, users would complain about even 0.1M size increment. Am just wondering why not just using Google fonts. Or is the font so necessary would bind a UI lib which essentially mimic shadcn?

I sincerely haven't tried to use it as an external font, like a Google font. The main reason was that Google fonts are entirely broken on Flutter (see issue)

We could delegate the users of shadcn_ui to install the Geist font, but the components expect that font to be present, that's why I placed it in the package. It's a safer decision.

I'm working on the shadcn cli so users can install components inside their app with direct access to the source code. By using the CLI you would be able to remove all the fonts you don't need and update the components based on that font.

Am not sure if copyWith must to use, but my app using google fonts change any font at ease, it even can be used in China.
when new component can be installed standalone is also a solution, on react this is common way, but on flutter, sort of cubersome though.
