Some notes I had about licensing for the UG:
- Generally the software team thinks that going with an Apache 2.0 license seems appropriate for the users guide repo and covers what the CC by 4.0 sets out to do, just in a more code forward way, recognizing that cc by 4 is more common among other “works”.
- According to this SO answer, you could have two different licenses for clearly divided pieces. Apache 2.0 for source code and CC by 4.0 for UG HTML?
