Is the lumberjack library still actively maintained #227

Description

@srinivasvenkatabevara

I’d like to understand the current state and future maintenance plans for this repository.

The last release was in 2023, and while there are no known open vulnerabilities, the long release cycles and lack of recent activity have raised questions about adopting the library for use in other open-source projects—specifically in environments where long-term support and timely updates are critical.

We’re currently evaluating lumberjack for inclusion in another open-source project and would appreciate some guidance on the following:

  • Is the project still actively maintained?
  • Are there any updates or releases planned?

What are your recommendations for teams planning to adopt this for long-term usage?

Thanks in advance for your time and for your work on this library — it's widely used and appreciated in the Go community.
