Update references to point towards new verification FAQ site

We need to update the references to the old site (https://www.cawcr.gov.au/projects/verification/)

But if nobody is super keen to do this, I can get to it when I get a moment. I am just not sure exactly when that will be - probably within a month (but quite possibly sooner). @nicholasloveday do you know when the old site will be decommissioned?

Just to clarify, do you mean the outdated links should be updated to https://jwgfvr.github.io/forecastverification/ (rather than the GitHub link https://github.com/JWGFVR/forecastverification)?

Before I start on this, can I please check if you are planning to modify any of the HTML id attributes for the new verification site?

For example, to link to "Accuracy (fraction correct)", the link would be: https://jwgfvr.github.io/forecastverification/index.html#ACC (based on my understanding of the page source, the id attribute is "ACC").

Note, I know almost no HTML, so apologies if I have not used the terms correctly.

Docs - included.md - DONE

• included.md was the only docs file in which I found links to the old CAWCR verification website.
• Update verification site links in included.md #933 updates all links in included.md
• [NOTE: have left descriptive text "WWRP/WGNE Joint Working Group on Forecast Verification Research" unchanged - confirmed that no change is needed]

API docstrings

• scores/src/scores/categorical/contingency_impl.py
• scores/src/scores/continuous/standard_impl.py - Update verification site links in continuous standard_impl.py #935 [NOTE: as with the other PRs, requires feedback on whether "index.html" in URL is likely to change]

Tutorials

• scores/tutorials/Additive_and_multiplicative_bias.ipynb
• scores/tutorials/Binary_Contingency_Scores.ipynb

Rest of Codebase - DONE

• scores/tests/categorical/test_contingency.py - Update verification site links in contingency test file #934 updates two links [NOTE: awaiting (a) confirmation that URL is unlikely to change and (b) whether or not rounding of relevant results is likely to change - Nick confirmed (a) there are no short term plans to change the files/URL and (b) that the rounding will remain as is]

@nicholasloveday I am currently updating the links to the new verification site.

In included.md, should I be updating "WWRP/WGNE Joint Working Group on Forecast Verification Research" to "WWRP/WCRP Joint Working Group on Forecast Verification Research? (I.e. should "WGNE" be updated to "WCRP")?

If not, what should it be updated to?

(Note, I also opened issue JWGFVR/forecastverification#16 as this relates to the verification website)

Hi @Steph-Chong . It should be "WWRP/WGNE Joint Working Group on Forecast Verification Research"

My understanding is the the JWGFVR isn't part of WCRP, but instead collaborates with WCRP.

Thanks - I have now updated the links in included.md, but at this stage have left the descriptions as "WWRP/WGNE Joint Working Group on Forecast Verification Research" (which is our existing text). If this needs to changed, it can be easily done down the road :-).
