API Standardization & Typed Client Generation - Mission Completion

Date: June 19, 2026 Status: ✅ COMPLETE

Mission Overview

This mission consolidates three major quality initiatives into a unified implementation:

  1. Quality Issue 18: Standardize API schema, pagination, field selection, and typed clients
  2. Quality Issue 28: Unified API response and error contract with typed clients
  3. Backend Enhancement: Runtime validation for Stellar TOML generation

Architecture Highlights

Pagination: Offset → Cursor-Based

Advantages:

  • More efficient for large datasets
  • Stable cursors even when data changes
  • Standard across modern APIs
  • Prevents "lost" results when data is inserted

Field Selection: Query Filtering

How it works:

  • Clients request specific fields: ?fields=id,name,domain
  • Backend validates against whitelist per endpoint
  • Only requested fields included in response
  • Reduces payload size significantly

Stellar TOML Validation

Runtime validation ensures:

  • Required fields present (org name, url, email)
  • Valid URLs and email formats
  • Valid Stellar account addresses
  • No duplicate currency codes
  • Valid display decimals (0-18)
