Neo4j GenAI Hands-On Lab with AWS Program Template, 2026 Program Name Build Generative AI & GraphRAG Agents with Neo4j and Amazon Bedrock Target Audience: Data Scientists, Data Engineers, AI Developers Delivery Format: 3-Part Interactive Hands-On Lab Duration: 3–4 hours (plus optional networking) Venue Name: AWS Offices Prereqs: Laptop with browser, AWS Console access, Neo4j Aura access.
Workshop Overview This workshop equips participants with practical skills to combine Neo4j graph databases with AWS Amazon Bedrock GenAI capabilities to build explainable, context-aware AI applications using GraphRAG and agentic patterns. Through a series of guided exercises, attendees will: ✅ Deploy and explore Neo4j knowledge graphs ✅ Understand foundational GenAI and retrieval strategies ✅ Build AI agents and RAG pipelines using AWS Bedrock ✅ Programmatically invoke agents and integrate with applications AWS Logos - Folder CHECKLIST Campaign Production Confirm location, preferably AWS Office Address Complete the Asana Intake Request Update all the needed Asana Project Fields Schedule debrief call SI or Other Partner Preparation (if required) Communicate day, time, location and lab agenda with confirmed SI Partner Get logos to add to promotional materials Confirm who from SI Partner will attend and present. If SI partner is not sending anyone, please adjust the agenda appropriately Event Space Preparation Order event catering - mini sandwiches, fruit, chips, coffee, tea, sodas, etc. (use in-house catering if possible, if not available at the office, use ezcater.com) Confirm the AWS contact has requested: pod-style set-up with power strips, 2 tables outside the classroom for catering, 1 table outside the classroom for check-in. Neo4j will provide 2 branded pull up banners. Identify networking reception location (walking distance from AWS Office) Order networking reception catering 3 days before the event: send registration list (including all Neo4j employees) to AWS contact to forward to building security 2 days before event print name badges on pre-printed Neo4j badge stock. Event Promotion Add lab to the Global Marketing Calendar Create a slack channel for the event (#amer-cloud, #emea-cloud, #apac-cloud) Share social media cards with sales, SDRs, and Cloud team Create a calendar invitation and include all registrants, Neo4j attendees, & partner attendees On-Site Export Marketo Smart List Print name badges for any new registrants. Set up a check-in area with name badges, lanyards, registration list, pull up banner(s) and swag. Name badges kept in alpha order for distribution and privacy. Post-Event Debrief Call: Capture all notes about attendees Identify any 1% or 10% opportunities Submit list to MSCO for import Lab Agenda Reference Lab Materials Part 1 – No-Code Getting Started (Beginner Friendly) Introductions & Lecture — Introduction to Neo4j What Neo4j is How it’s deployed & managed on AWS (Native graph platform, AWS Marketplace integration) Labs: Lab 0 – Sign In Sign into AWS Console and workshop environment Lab 1 – Neo4j Aura Setup Provision Neo4j via AWS Marketplace Restore pre-built knowledge graph Explore graph using visual tools Lab 2 – Aura Agents Use Neo4j Aura Agents (no-code) Configure semantic search & Text2Cypher tools Break — 5–10 minutes Part 2 – Intro to Bedrock & GraphRAG (Intermediate) Lecture — Neo4j + Generative AI Concepts What is GraphRAG (Graph Retrieval-Augmented Generation) Patterns for semantic & hybrid retrieval Labs: Lab 4 – Intro to Bedrock and Agents Launch SageMaker Studio Clone workshop repo and setup Bedrock configs Build basic LangGraph AI agent that calls AWS Bedrock
Lab 5 – GraphRAG with Neo4j Load and create embeddings using Amazon Titan Create vector indexes in Neo4j Build GraphRAG pipelines using hybrid retrieval strategies Part 3 – Advanced Agents & API Integration (Advanced) What You’ll Learn Programmatic invocation of no-code Aura Agents REST API and OAuth2 integration patterns Using Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers for agent-based apps Labs: Lab 6 – Aura Agents API Build a programmatic client to invoke Aura Agent via REST Implement OAuth2 client credentials flow
Lab 7 – Neo4j MCP Agent Integrate MCP server tools with AWS AgentCore Gateway Build LangGraph agent with natural language access to the Neo4j graph Speaker/Talent Tips Focus delivery on practical outcomes: each lab produces working code/agents. Reframe GenAI concepts in business terms (semantic search, explainability). Use real-world examples during demos (e.g., SEC 10-K knowledge graphs) — see repository context.
