Have you considered enabling donations via GitHub?
Whether people would actually donate is a different matter, but GitHub with its 0% fee seems more appealing than Ko-fi.

Thanks for the consideration. Even though monetary donations can be motivational, I've come to realize what the project really needs is interaction with the users, some kind of community. I guess it would need to be packaged differently, and maybe moved to a different platform for that. But I'm leaning more towards taking what I've learned from this, and doing it over, in a different format.

Edit: But I'm all for ideas on how to improve LlamaTale! Maybe I can find the spark, again.

Currently I don't have much use for the project, but i have been following it for a while since I think LLMs and MUDs fit together perfectly and I'm very curious to see where it will go.
I think services like AIDungeon are trying too hard to use LLMs as much as possible, which makes for great storytelling, but I feel like the gameplay is getting lost a bit - at least last time i tried it.
I'd like to have a proper MUD that actually works with tons of players, and where players cannot easily tell whether they are interacting with another player or an LLM. I don't want every simple action to be generated by an AI ("examine sword" doesn't need to give a different description every time). The LLMs should be used to expand the world and make it feel more alive, e.g. by the NPCs taking autonomous and persistent actions using the same in-game systems that players are bound to (decide to build a house, look for trees, chop wood, build house piece by piece, replant trees, etc).
I think LLM+MUD might work best in a sandbox setting with finite resources where everyone has their own goals.
For now I haven't found anything that fits this.

My experience from developing this, is that prompting alone can't accomplish this; finetuning is needed, and thus, datasets.
