This might be related to the new git syncing changes from @big-guy

I don't have time to look at this tonight but it's not super urgent since it's unreleased

I'm guessing this has to do with sha matching - it's not just main that is having the problem I am also seeing the problem on other worktrees where there are no new commits yet

I can take a look at it on Sunday unless someone beats me to it
