Pfsense doesnt see netbird interface during boot

When I reboot pfSense, I get an “interface mismatch” error and have to reassign interfaces manually. If I try to assign wt0 to NetBird in Interfaces → Assignments, the interface disappears after reboot (no wt0 available to select).

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

Install NetBird on pfSense and assign wt0 as an interface.
Reboot pfSense.
pfSense fails to detect wt0 during boot, throws “interface mismatch,” and requires manual reassignment.

NetBird version

netbird client 0.55.1
netbird pfsense package 0.1.0

PfSense Version
2.8.1-RELEASE (amd64)
FreeBSD 15.0

I can confirm the same behavior on

pfSense-pkg-NetBird 0.1.0
netbird 0.55.1
pfSense Version 2.8.1

I've tried with and without the Enable Firewall Option checked. No matter what if I install an interface the boot process sees a mismatch on the interfaces. The reason for the interface is so that I can directly communicate with the pfsense without having to have a network setup on each node for both pfsense configuration and possibly HAProxy to services behind it.
