If you care about security too much, you sacrifice speed too much. If you are too slow, you will lose financial security. If you lose financial security, you will lose physical security because it takes money to control your social environment. If you become poor and physically vulnerable, then what's the point of computer security?
However, if you don't care about security at all, you can get hacked.
I think there should be a balance.
Perhaps, use firejail for programs that can execute arbitrary code from the internet on operating systems that can use firejail. That means things like web browsers and epub readers(?) and documents with embedded code.
Instead of watching porn, perhaps quit porn so that even if your computer or your pornhub account is hacked, hackers can't release your porn habits to the public. Perhaps, make sure everything you do on your computers can be released to the public without damaging your reputation. My computer is not that insecure, but most people should just assume their computers can be hacked and prepare accordingly. Update your operating system often. Use an offline password manager like keepassxc. Back up your data. Don't use software from untrusted sources. Don't do anything with your computer that will damage your reputation.
On guix system and nix, firejail will not protect system package directories, but it can still protect user directories and home directories.
