Description

Description

Since some firejail update, DeadBeeF (music player) fails to start with firejail. There are many errors of things that get "permission denied". For instance it can't even load it's icons in /usr/share/deadbeef/...

  1. Run in bash LC_ALL=C firejail /usr/bin/deadbeef
  2. DeadBeeF starts and aborts

Expected behavior

DeadBeeF starts and works.

Behavior without a profile

Works fine

Environment

  • Linux 6.16.8-arch3-1
  • Arch Linux
  • DeadBeeF 1.10.0
  • Firejail 0.9.76

Checklist

  • [ x] The issues is caused by firejail (i.e. running the program by path (e.g. /usr/bin/vlc) "fixes" it).
