#15158: Jeremy still weighing feasibility
↳ HTMX navigation. Seeing some weird behavior around form behavior when using the browser's back button. NetBox will protect users against errors that would other result from this, but it's still annoying. Introducing this change by default might be a lot of UI change in one release.
↳ Considering shipping 4.0 with global HTMX navigation disabled by default, giving willing users the chance to enable the feature and put it through its paces during 4.0.x.

What if we did this, and let plugins reference it that way?
Dan: I watched a project that started as a fork of NetBox do that, and it looked like a lot of work.
Jeremy: Right, thanks for raising that. Installing NetBox won't automagically become a simple as pip install netbox, users will still have to set up the scripts directories and such.
Jeremy: Also the name is currently in use by a project that's had no activity in over a year
Dan: PEP 541 provides a mechanism for claiming a name
Jeff: I'm going to try contacting the person behind the existing package first, which that PEP lists as a required step anyway

[Arthur] Update on migration to Strawberry (GraphQL)

Filtersets not done
Want to more thoroughly compare optimizer
Base Types working except for FK ref (strawberry has to define each)
Need to rework base-classes in types to match models ConsolePortTemplateType(ComponentTemplateObjectType) -> ConsolePortTemplate(ModularComponentTemplateModel)
Tests passing except for (2) plugins and GraphiQL (query all defined fields)
↳ filters are not tested and FK ref workaround.
↳ Union (multi return type i.e. a_terminations) not tested
Type fields matched on old vs new, potential mismatch in optional (return None)
GraphiQL need to check launch and chrome (browser title)
ImageField returns sub-info (instead of url)
Schema query by id convenience function? Could be deprecated? - list syntax more verbose
Diff: for devs - strawberry more verbose, have to define FK, M2M explicitly
Diff: syntax of filtersets and lookup expressions

Arthur: If you've got scripts that use GraphQL, please try them out against a feature build after we merge this work. If you're not in a position to stand up feature, you can try with the beta in April.
