Render Config Error after upgrade

After upgrading to version 4.2.3 when opening render config page on devices with a config template assigned we get the below error

<class 'TypeError'>

argument of type 'NoneType' is not iterable

is it consistent across all the devices?
are you sure, your template is not producing the error in a loop?
can you try rendering with a "minimal" template just to rule out errors in the template?
