Is it possible to support both macOS and Synology in technology

I tried to write a /bin/vmx wrapper to be compatible with both Synology and macOS simultaneously, but I wasn't successful. It seems to be a parameter passing issue.  Perhaps I don't know ESXi well enough. Is this even possible in technology? thanks!
